A woman from the Koli community stands outside her house in Versova fishing village. The Kolis are amongst the city's oldest residents and live in village-like clusters called gaothans, spread across Mumbai's coastline. The woman wears a sari, long blouse, and traditional jewellery including a necklace, glass bangles, ear rings and a nose ring, along with a red bindi on her forehead.
